CB Richard Ellis CB Richard Ellis (CBRE) is the world's largest property services company and has been established in Southern Africa for more than 50 years. In 2004 a landmark association agreement with CBRE was signed. CBRE is a company within the Broll Property Group, but has an autonomous mandate to deliver independent and objective valuation services to third parties.
This association benefits clients by exposing them to international property industry best-practices and cutting-edge systems in line with global benchmarking standards. The regular valuation of land, building and machinery assets is vitally important in today's economy, and should feature highly on every business agenda. Valuations need to be impartial, independent and able to stand up to scrutiny.
Sophisticated IT software programmes are utilised which further enhances the company's competitive edge. Inter-national exposure and the local association with the Broll Property Group allows current market knowledge and research to be accessed, and the latest developments in valuation methodology are followed. The company complies with international best practice, as set out in the RICS "Red Book", and the guidelines adopted by the International Valuation Standards Committee.

The 13,000sqm office and retail component has recently undergone a R38-million refurbishment restoring the lower three floors of the property including the ground floor retail, two floors of offices situated in the podium of the building, redeveloping the public foyer and extensively updating the exterior facades.
