eThekwini Municipality - Warning Of Heavy Rains Expected2017-11-15 The South African Weather Service has issued a warning regarding heavy rain and cold conditions that may lead to localised flooding which is expected to hit KwaZulu-Natal tomorrow, 15 November 2017.
Snowfall is also expected over the south-western high ground of KwaZulu-Natal between Wednesday evening and Thursday morning. Residents should not panic but take precautionary measures to ensure safety during this period. These measures include staying indoors and off the roads (where possible), avoid crossing rivers and swollen streams where water is above your ankles. If trapped within a vehicle by rising waters, abandon it immediately and seek higher ground. Residents living in informal settlements are also advised to secure their roof sheeting.
