Angie Clausen - A Career In Wellness

2020-02-20

Angie "Abalisious" Clausen's professional career started in 2006 as a corporate account executive for United Business Solutions. Her primary focus was on office automation and CCTV systems. Angie thrived in this arena and developed her skills in the corporate sector. However, she had a longstanding personal goal to pursue an interest in the health and wellness industry.

In 2011 Angie took the plunge and did a career switch. In 2013, she qualified as a Pilates practitioner and at this stage her career in wellness was well on its way. Consequently, one of the highlights of her professional career was opening her first Pilates studio in Umdloti in 2014. Angie said, "There is something magical about that piece of coastline. That little studio really set the sails for where I am today."

Angie reflected that Margaret Hirsch has been a great inspiration to her. She said, "I absolutely love Margaret and her entire circle. The friends and contacts I have made, by tapping into and infiltrating this absolute porthole of business opportunities, has given me the platform I needed to launch Oxylisious Ozone Therapy. Actually, I launched my entire marketing campaign across the country for Oxylisious through and around the Women in Business Breakfast meetings.

As a result, we opened 32 franchises in just 18 months." Commenting on the many challenges she has faced in her professional journey, especially in the ozone industry, Angie said, "Not everyone is nice, not everyone wants to see you succeed." She added, "Sadly when Oxylisious started making waves in the ozone industry, we were faced with a lot of competitive jealousy. My first line of defence is and always will be education; have a strong knowledge base on the topic, get qualified, know your business and know your product."

In 2019 Angie completed an Ozone Therapy Diploma which included 10 days in London doing practical experience. The course is recognised in the European Union.

Her motto for 2020 is 'You cannot give from an empty cup". Angie explains, 'Secure your mask first! ... this is what you are instructed to do before helping others on an aeroplane. Why should this be different in day to day life? Look after yourself first, then grow with your tribe. Keep your vibrations positive, because your vibe attracts your tribe. Be motivated, be successful, be unstoppable and relentless in your pursuit for happiness. Everything I do has significance, yoga teaches us to move with purpose on purpose, each breath is energy, energy is time, time is precious, don't waste it. The secret is to remain focused on your goals and be happy."

Angie is big on family and in her free time enjoys yoga, walking and eating out.

Ozone Therapy
Ozone therapy covers a multitude of health and wellness subjects from detoxification, weight loss, and serious dermal conditions, to the Krebs Cycle, which is well understood by sports professionals.

Ozone therapy enhances the process of glycolysis, which is the breakdown of glucose by enzymes, adding value to the energy stores. Any pathogens and bacteria lurking in the body will dissipate and be excreted via perspiration, faeces or urine. This affects stamina and endurance which impacts directly on the end result of a competitive athletes' performance.

This system is also an effective method to help boost your immune system and get your body into a healing and rejuvenation mode. If the body's natural ability is empowered, to fight off pathogens, bacteria and free radicals, the immune system will be strong and have a better chance of staying healthy, balanced and in homeostasis.

We carry our emotional stress in our solar plexus. Modern day stresses, financial burdens, and people who bring external stress into your life, will cause an increase in cortisol levels in the body. Cortisol comes from the adrenal glands and can wreak havoc on the immune system and human body. This can affect
our memory and cause brain disorders, as well as cause irregular blood sugar levels which can lead to diabetes, inflammation in the joints and muscles, and especially metabolic disorders.

In 1926 Dr Otto Warburg of the Kaiswer Institute in Berlin announced that the cause of cancer is lack of oxygen at the cellular level. He received the Nobel Prize for Medicine in 1931 and again in 1944, the only person to ever receive two Nobel Prizes for medicine. He was also nominated for a third.

In 1929, a book called "Ozone and its Therapeutic Action" was published in the United States listing 114 diseases and how to treat them with ozone. Its authors were the heads of all the leading American hospitals.

In 1957, Dr J Hansler patented an ozone generator, which has formed the basis of the German expansion of ozone therapy over the last 35 years. Today over
7000 German doctors use ozone therapy daily. Using ozone can assist in the healing process and speeds up the recovery time. In 1992 the Russians revealed their techniques of using ozone bubbled into brine (taken internally) to treat burn victims with astounding results.

Today, after 125 years of usage, ozone therapy is a recognised modality in many nations including Germany, France, Italy, Russia, Romania, Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Israel, Cuba, Japan, Mexico, five United States  and South Africa.

The Oxylisious Ozone Steam Sauna has many positive results. When ozone (O3) is applied to the body, it is 50% to 70% systemic which means that it is absorbed directly into the body. This in turn creates red blood cells which produces oxygen in the body which increase serotonin levels. Serotonin is that happy wholesome feeling after an exercise session.

Oxylisious has recently launched a new division called the Wound Care Association of South Africa focusing on wound care including, diabetic ulcers, amputations and wounds that won't heal. This O3 treatment can be used in conjunction with the protocol from your doctor.
