Department: City Development
Head: Economic Development Facilitation
Basic salary: R487 397.04 per annum
Total Cost to Company: R891 752.83

Purpose of the job: Plan, lead, organise and control the following business units within Council and account to the Deputy Municipal Manager: City Development on their effectiveness and efficiency:
* Business Support Tourism and Markets
* Trade and Investment
* Property/Real Estate Administration
* Property Valuations
* Public transport facilities and operations coordination.

Minimum requirements:
• Master of Economics Master of Business Administration/Master of Business Leadership or equivalent • 8 years’ economic development facilitation experience • A high level of computer literacy skills (MS Office applications)
• A valid Code EB driver’s licence • Exceptionally high levels of professionalism and ability to offer expert economic advice in the field • Good communication skills • Ability to lead teams
• Ability to take strategic direction
• Ability to operate independently
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in packaging bankable business plans for leveraging Government and Private Sector funding for municipal projects. Suitably qualified female applicants/candidates will receive preference.
Department: Infrastructure and Technical Services
Manager: Infrastructure Maintenance
Basic salary: R413 358.36 per annum
Total cost to company: R769 177.68 per annum
Purpose of the job: Provide leadership and management of Infrastructure Maintenance for all Water and Waste Water Services covering electrical maintenance, civil maintenance, mechanical maintenance, reliability and maintenance planning in order to improve availability of all water and wastewater infrastructure Assets.
Minimum requirements:
• BSc Eng (Civil/ Electrical/ Mechanical/Electro-mechanical) or BTech (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical/Electro-mechanical)
• Professional registration as an Engineer or Technologist with ECSA
• GCC (Factories or Mine and Works)
• 5 to 8 years’ experience of which 3 years should have been at management or supervisory level
• Ability to manage technical complexities and a clear understanding of water and wastewater treatment process operations and systems • Understanding of the Infrastructure Maintenance Service business in its entirety and the entire legal framework governing the asset management industry.

Manager: Plant Production and Operations
Basic salary: R413 358.36 per annum
Total cost to company: R769 177.68 per annum
Purpose of the job: Provide managerial leadership and direction to all water and wastewater treatment facilities including the macerator station, through high level interaction with relevant stakeholders to ensure management of the plant complies with relevant water legislation covering both water and wastewater treatment.
Minimum requirements:
• BSc Eng (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical) or BTech (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical) or BSc Hon (Water-based majors, ie: Water Chemistry/Microbiology, etc) or any equivalent
• Professional registration as an Engineer or Technologist with ECSA and/or registration as a Natural Scientist
• 5 to 8 years’ experience of which 3 years should have been at management or supervisory level
• Ability to manage technical complexities and a clear understanding of water and wastewater treatment process operations and systems • Understanding of the Water and Sanitation Service business in its entirety and the entire legal framework governing the industry.
