JCCI has served the interests of business in the region for 128 years.

As the leading provider of training for the international trade community, JCCI has provided members with the necessary courses to ensure they are kept up-to-date on any changes in legislation.

According to Chamber CEO, Joan Warburton MacBride, the JCCI Importer and Exporter Manuals have been a source of support and guidelines on the international trade cycle to business in Southern African
since 1987. The manuals have been complemented by the Import and Export Management courses which have seen hundreds of students achieving the competence and ability to trade successfully and avoid the many pitfalls of dealing with foreign markets.

In partnership with GMLS (Global Maritime Learning Solutions Ltd), JCCI has now expanded its training objectives to cover Trade, Logistics and Customs. The Academy will provide SDF services, accredited SETA training in global shipping, freight forwarding, Customs legislation and compliance, Preferred Traders, SMME Incubator strategies, learnerships, support and solutions.

Several successful pilot courses have been concluded. The Academy is ready to launch in 2019 and looks forward to providing the international trade community with comprehensive, up-to-date and practical training.
