Formally established as a verification agency in 2006, our experience and background in the field of Black Economic Empowerment and related legislation dates back to 2003, when we started to provide guidance, assistance and ratings to the business community shortly after the gazetting of the B-BBEE Act.
Having followed the rigorous quality requirements of SANAS (South African National Accreditation System), DRGSiyaya became one of the first SANAS accredited B-BBEE Verification Agencies in February 2009; No BVA 056.
DRGSiyaya is a full member of the Association of BEE Verification Agencies (ABVA), an industry body formed in terms the BEE legislation, to oversee and ensure the provision of professional and credible BEE ratings and service by its members.
We were also a founder member of the BEE KZN Forum, established in 2005, which was established to provide a platform for discussion and debate on BEE matters for its members, the wider business community and other stakeholders.
In addition to our senior team members' experience base having been founded upon BEE processes since their inception, our team of trained and fully accredited verification analysts, are either graduates or diplomates.
Our Approach
Our approach is not simply to provide a clinical verification service. We strive to deliver this process both in the context of how it should be integrated into our customers' business strategies as well as in the spirit of the legislation. This legislation is namely: "The acceleration of the South African Economy in its drive towards sustainable Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment", to the ultimate benefit of the entire economy and all of its players.
We have internal quality assurance and related processes in place, which are designed and implemented to ensure the integrity of our verification findings. We strive to continuously improve and protect the integrity of our well-defined, tested
systems and processes.
Practical experience in the field has resulted in our introduction of a pre-verification interaction with our customers, to ensure that they are fully ready to participate in the formal verification process.

Over the past two years DRGSiyaya has assessed in excess of 400 enterprises across a broad spectrum of sectors, sizes and levels of complexity.
