Ethekwini Municipality To Host Parks Summit

2018-11-21

In a bid to improve service delivery and promote good governance, eThekwini Municipality’s Parks, Recreation and Culture Unit will host the Parks Summit on Friday, 23 November 2018.

The summit will be an opportunity for the city to table all services it provides to the public, professionals and practitioners in the biodiversity space. Among other things, officials will shed a light on how the services provided by the Parks Department fits into the overall vision of the Municipality. Bread and butter issues such as grass cutting, tree and forest management and roadside ecology are also going to come under spotlight.

Members of the public will have a much needed opportunity to make inputs on how the services that are rendered by the Municipality can be improved. The summit will also devise ways that will ensure all stakeholders work together unceasingly to improve service delivery.

Members of the media are cordially invited to attend and report on this seminar.
