Applications are hereby invited in the form of a proposal from a suitably qualified company to render the services of INTERNET CONNECTIVITY for a duration of 12 months renewable.

OVERALL OBJECTIVES

To implement sustainable connectivity to the internet and render efficient service.

SPECIFICATION

The service provider must render the following services:

2mb local access and 256k international access connection
Maximum of 3/1 Contention
High Availability
10 Public IP Addresses
SMTP traffic forwarding
Bandwidth prioritisation, management and Quality of Service
Domain Hosting of ugu.gov.za, ugu.org.za and ugu.co.za (MX and DNS)
Antispam solution for 400 users
Setup and configuration costs
24/7 Support

Ugu District Municipality subscribes to the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act, 2000, (Act No.5 of 2000) and therefore gives preference to tenders from emerging contractors or tenders in joint venture with emerging partners.

The Ugu District Municipality does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
