uShaka gets festive with Dolphins By Starlight!

2017-12-01

It's time to get festive again at uShaka Marine World with the eagerly anticipated Dolphins By Starlight starting at 7pm between December 8th - 13th.

This firm favourite on the Durban Christmas calendar is sure to put stars in the eyes of young and old alike. The magnificent uShaka Sea World dolphins will perform their dazzling aquatic aerobatics to Christmas soundtracks inspired by love, hope and family.

They will be joined by the glorious Durban Gospel Choir, "Divo" Clive Gumede, songbird Samantha Landers , rising soprano star Slindo Zondo , Quattro Femmes String Quartet ,a live band  under the direction of Burton Naidoo , and a host of talented guest artists. Expect plenty of Christmas carols as well  as stirring renditions of much loved favourites such as Josh Groban's The First Noel , Whitney Houston's Joy to the World, God Bless Africa and the Hip Hop Nutcracker. Our producers have even penned a special Christmas version of The Circle of Life and reworkings of popular songs such as Can't stop the Feeling and Happy.

Without giving too much away, early test flights have shown that Santa's reindeer have been unable to make his sleigh hover more than 20 cm off the ground! The North Pole News  has reported  that this failure to launch may be as a result of low Christmas spirit as well as folks forgetting  the true meaning of Christmas. Santa is so concerned that he has decided to send his chief investigative elves Andy Alibastar and Polly Peppermint to uShaka to investigate.

Dolphins By Starlight is family entertainment at its very best with plenty of fun filled interludes especially written for children.  So, expect a meeting with the uShaka Ocean Warriors, plenty of dancing and singing and perhaps even a surprise visit by the big man himself in a celebration that is sure to help us all rediscover the true heart of the holiday season in Durban.

To make sure you don't miss out, book now. Tickets are available at Computicket or via uShaka's online ticketing on tickets.ushakamarineworld.co.za at a cost of R170 for adults and R140 for children. Kids under 3 enter for free. Enquiries call 0313288000
