2018-02-09

February will be quite the month of love at uShaka Marine World – and definitely the place to be to hang loose and enjoy those good vibes. Our gift of love to lovers of uShaka is 20% off all Sea World, Wet ‘n Wild, and Combo tickets, as well as 20% off entrance into Dangerous Creatures and uShaka Kids World from Friday, 9th February – Sunday 18th February, 2018.

Our much loved aquarium doesn’t usually open at night. But, because it’s Valentine’s Day, uShaka will be providing guests with an after dark aquarium experience from 4:30pm to 10pm on Wednesday, February 14th. Plus, you only have to buy one ticket, to get another entrance ticket free for your loved one. Come and explore the deep before or after your romantic dinner at uShaka Marine World and enjoy some composed entertainment by local violinist Anton through your journey of the aquarium.

Valentines won’t be complete without booking a table at Cargo Hold. Our team will be sure to pull at your heartstrings and create the ultimate romantic dinner with their delicious February Valentine tailor made menu on February 14th and featuring Angus the violinist.

Look forward to a welcome drink of “Froze” followed by starters. Select from our Aphrodite Prawn Cocktail; Citrus Confit Calamari; Beef Carpaccio; Vichyssoise or a vegetarian option of Spinach Mushroom Ravioli.

Before tackling the main course, guests will be served Passion Fruit Sorbet.

The ultimate end to a fine romantic dinner is definitely dessert and at Cargo Hold, it’s the Cupids Couples Platter of Love featuring Pannacotta, pineapple jelly, vanilla crème, chocolate fondant, strawberry mousse and fig baklava. The cost of this set menu is R550 per person and includes a welcome drink.

For lovers of seafood, the Cargo Hold will also be including their signature dish for Valentine’s Day - Cupids Famed Platter for two, consisting of crayfish, prawns, mussels, calamari, line fish and langoustines served with basmati rice, chips, lemon butter sauce, peri-peri and captain’s sauce. Our environmentalists are keen to share some interesting facts on frogs and advise on how you can protect them.

Love will also be in the air in Village Walk with visitors getting a chance to snuggle up on the “now famous” kissing couch to have their pictures taken by uShaka promoters on Saturday, February 10th ,Sunday, February 11th and Wednesday February 14th. There will also be local musos performing, Rene in arena 3 and the KwaMashu Centre Marimba band in arena 5.

All pictures will be uploaded to uShaka Marine World’s social media platforms and one lucky winner will win a dinner for two at Cargo Hold valued at R1000. That’s not all, Village Walk will once again be running their “Declare Your Love” competition by putting it on a post note” which is very popular amongst guests and shops alike.
