Minara Chamber - Recognition Awards 2018

2018-07-12

The Minara Chamber of Commerce will host its Annual Business Recognition Awards in Durban this year after a successful event in Gauteng in 2017. The Chamber President Solly Suleman is all geared up to raise the bar at this year event and anticipates an influx of high profiled and deserving nominations.

Minara was founded in KwaZulu-Natal in 2000 to focus on uplifting and promoting individual, family-owned and independent Muslim businesses with a vision and mission to bring them from the margins into the frontline of the mainstream economy and create interfaith business transactions. It later started the businesswomen’s chapter and promotes black economic empowerment skills transfer workshops and youth
development.

In less than two decades since a pioneering group of captains of industry and business visionaries from the small to medium-sized commercial and professional sectors came together and contemplated launching a
progressive organisation, Minara is gradually achieving its vision of galvanising and unifying independent businesses. We are realising our mission to become a tour de force within the melting pot of the country’s dynamic mixed economy.

At the upcoming awards ceremony, some of South Africa’s leading personalities will grace the podium with their collective knowledge, economy on business, wisdom, tips and charisma. Minara Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the call for nominations in six categories: Nomination forms and criteria for each category can be downloaded from our website www.minara.org.za or requested from our offices by emailing awards@minara.org.za.
