Swiss National Bank will cut interest rate to minus 0.25%
Switzerland's National Bank (SNB) will bring in a negative interest rate cutting the value of large sums of money left on deposit in the country. The Bank is imposing a rate of minus 0.25% on "sight deposits" - a form of instant access account - of more than 10m Swiss francs ($9.77m, £6.2m).

The Swiss National Bank unexpectedly scrapped its three-year policy of capping the Swiss franc against the euro in a U-turn that may change the perception of a century-old institution known for reliability. The financial debacle that has befallen Russia as the price of Brent crude dropped 50 percent in the last four months has overshadowed the one that potentially awaits the U.S. shale industry in 2015. The Future of Collective Bargaining" by Ian Delport, IR Manager, Defy and Chairperson KZNEIA
Ian Delport, IR Manager of Defy and the Chairperson of the KZNEIA (a SEIFSA affiliate) gave an extremely interesting presentation entitled, "The Future of Collective Bargaining". The presentation outlined the Industrial Relations landscape and provided insight into labour, political and socio-economic issues impacting on collective bargaining, for example NUMSA's split from COSATU, DoL's permission to NUMSA to widen its scope, NUMSA's possible launch of a political party and the probability of a new labour federation etc.
