Toyota South Africa - Presidential Acknowledgement for Toyota's R6,1 Billion Investment in its Prospecton Plant

The President of the Republic of South Africa, Mr Jacob Zuma, accompanied by the Minister of Trade and Industry, Dr Rob Davies, and the Minister of Economic Development, Mr Ebrahim Patel, paid an official visit to Toyota South Africa's production plant at Prospecton, Durban  on the occasion of the announcement that the Japanese automaker had invested R6,1 billion to upgrade its facilities to produce the best-selling Hilux and Fortuner models for local and export markets. The business session was hosted by Dr Johan van Zyl, Chairman of Toyota South Africa and Chief Managing Officer of Toyota Motors Europe. Mr Andrew Kirby, Toyota South Africa Motors President and CEO, delivered the introductory speech. Mr Jacob Zuma was the keynote speaker.
