A R300 000 CRECHE FOR EZIHLALO NEAR ULUNDI

2012-08-23

MEDIA RELEASE
August 22, 2012.

The Zululand District Municipality will build a R300 000 crèche at Ezihlalo near Ulundi, the Honourable Mayor of this District Municipality, Cllr VZ KaMagwaza-Msibi announced during a visit to this area today.

"Let me state from onset that this crèche is not for any particular party, but it will belong to all community members of Ezihlalo. This means all the children of this area will be free to attend this crèche without being asked about political affiliation of their parents," KaMagwaza-Msibi added.

She said when her party was formed she wanted it to be different by being close to the people, and very sensitive to their needs, especially women and widows.

It was KaMagwaza-Msibi's first visit to this area and after listening to the people's needs she told them what her Municipality could not do to assist them.

She left a tent and 75 chairs to enable the community to meet under a shelter. Five sewing machines and material were handed over to three local sewing groups, while three soccer teams also received soccer kits.

In the morning ZDM Mayor attended the memorial service of seven people who died in a car accident near Ulundi on Friday.
