City Logistics is incredibly proud to be associated with Shap Shap Cinema‘s vision to assist local and disadvantaged communities.

Shap Shap Cinemas a non-profit company address the educational needs of rural communities across South Africa. Educational and lifestyle programs are shared in refurbished containers, fitted with seats, ventilation, aircon, projector and big screen â€" a mini cinema, seating up to 50 people at a time.

City Logistics attended the opening of the first Shap Shap Cinema at the beginning of June 2018 in Hammersdale, KZN. The deputy major of KZN and various NGOs were in attendance, as well as many excited Hammersdale residents.

Shap Shap Cinemas’ daily programs focus on early childhood development, health awareness such as diabetes, STDs and Aids, homework clubs and tutoring for high school students, food security and healthy lifestyle initiatives.

We envision this to be the first of many such Shap Shap Community Cinemas to be rolled out throughout South Africa, providing a much -needed meeting place to empower community members through the sharing of knowledge from the many courses that will be offered in Zulu on a daily basis.
