Members of the media are invited to attend the official handover of a new house to an elderly citizen of KwaSanti, Ward 17, on Sunday, 26 May 2013.

The 94 year-old Gogo Meyiwa was identified by the Community Care Givers during the door-to-door visits in the area. She was then put in the priority list of benefitiaciaries because she was living with her grandchildren in a shack and they also had no source income, besides her pension.

Gogo Meyiwa will be given this house as part of Operation Sukuma Sakhe.

The Mayor will be accompanied by the MEC of Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Nomusa Dube and members of the Executive Committee.
