eThekwini Municipality - URGENT NOTICE: PLANNED WATER SHUT DOWN TO AFFECT TSHELIMNYAMA, KWANDENGEZI AND INTAKE ROAD RESERVOIR

Due to repairs on the pumps electrical panel at the St Wendolins (N) Pump Station that burnt out this morning, Wednesday 17/06/2015, all pumps had to be put off at this crucial pump station.

City technicians are currently working on site attending to the emergency. However, it is not clear as to when the repairs will be completed.

Water tankers will be sent to the affected areas until repairs are completed.

We apologise to all affected customers for the inconvenience caused.

The breakdowns of the areas that will be affected by the shutdown of St Wendolins (N) pump station are as follows:

From Tshelimnyama Reservoir (M1)

• Marianhill

• Marian heights

• Dassenhoek

• Nagina Township

• Some parts of Tshelimnyama

From Tshelimnyama 2 Reservoir (M1A)

• Some parts of Dassenhoek gravity fed into M1A

• Some parts of Tshelimnyama

From Tshelimnyama 3 Reservoir (M1B)

• Tshelimnyama

• Sithandu Hills

• Mansenseni

• Epitoli

• KwaLinda

From KwaNdengezi Reservoir

• KwaNdengezi township

• Coffee farm

From Intake Road Reservoir (Res Q)

• Luganda

• Demat Area

• Nsizwakazi

• Motala Farm

• Intake road
