eThekwini Municipality - IT'S ALL SYSTEMS GO FOR THE NORTHERN REGIONAL BUSINESS FAIR2015-06-18 The City is preparing to host yet another regional fair in the Northern region of eThekwini following three successful Regional Business Fairs which recorded more than 23 000 visitors and potential buyers from Inner/Outer West, eFolweni and South regions. The northern regional fair will take place at the Bridge City Mall in KwaMashu from 19 to 21 June 2015.
The eThekwini Deputy Mayor and Chairperson of Economic Development and Planning Committee Cllr Nomvuzo Shabalala said: “Regional Business Fairs have proven to be the most relevant district business exhibition for small, medium and micro enterprises (SMMEs) which encourages and boosts economic growth in townshipsâ€. The City is proud to have invested millions of rands towards the growth and development of SMMEs. Shabalala said SMMEs have proven to be the solution to socio-economic challenges particularly the triple challenges which are inequality, poverty and unemployment. The business fair will be attended by prominent business experts, private and government institutions to share valuable business information to the exhibitors who wish to expand their businesses, aspiring entrepreneurs and the public. Regional Business Fairs also provide an opportunity for entrepreneurs to showcase products and the services they offer. The exhibition will run concurrently with a two-day Business Indaba to give SMMEs an opportunity to network with other experienced business experts and get innovative tips on how to sustain their businesses. Exhibiting space is still available for the last regional business fair to be held in the Western region at Clermont Sports Auditorium on 26t to 28 June 2015.
