Prominent business specialist and Chairman of the KZN Growth Coalition, Moses Tembe and Nomzamo Mbatha, a renowned TV personality and actress will share a platform with other business experts in the upcoming North Regional Business Fair at the Bridge City this weekend. Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs) will be empowered with innovative ways on how to market their business effectively to become successful entrepreneurs. The Fair, which consists of two components, the exhibition and the conference, will offer businesses with lifetime exposure and enable them to create business deals with potential buyers and big business companies. Mayor James Nxumalo says that SMMEs are vital contributors to the health of the City’s economy and having business experts will assist them to have a clear understanding on how to run a successful business. “This is the one sector that is in the centre of the Municipality’s agenda and we intend to invest more on it as it can drive radical economic transformation. At this point, the economy in our country is growing slowly; unemployment and poverty remain high and are serious concerns for everyone.†Small businesses will have the opportunity to network with the experts and gain valuable insights from their experience and expertise on how to remain viable during challenging times Nxumalo added that with such platforms, the City is in a positive direction to create enabling environment for businesses to be competitive and address triple challenges by creating more employment opportunities. There will be panel discussions where businesses will engage and deliberate on legislative priorities that will help SMMEs to build the economy and positively impact in their communities.
