The workshop will empower local emerging contractors with development opportunities arising from provincial and local government and create awareness on various programmes designed to enhance their growth and competitiveness to ensure sustainability of their businesses. The workshop also aims to link contractors with professional bodies and encourage compliance with various regulations. Aspects to be covered at the workshop include procurement opportunities, capacity building, access to finance and compliance aspects. The workshop forms part of the local economic development programme of the South Durban Basin Area Based Management team. All members of the media are invited to attend the event.
