eThekwini Municipality - TOUTING FOR CHRISTMAS GIFTS BY DSW STAFF NOT ALLOWED2015-12-01 EThekwini Municipality’s Cleansing and Solid Waste Unit (DSW) staff will be working throughout the festive season including Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
While it is the season of giving, DSW staff are strictly prohibited from touting for gifts, including money, from residents. Residents are advised to be wary of impostors posing as Municipal workers to solicit gifts. DSW’s operational services will continue as normal during the festive season including the public holidays. The public are urged to put out their refuse as early as possible to assist in this regard. The DSW offices will be closed on 16, 25 and 26 December 2015 and 1 January 2016. However operational staff will be on duty throughout the festive season. For enquiries contact the DSW help line on 031 311 8804. Due to the unavailability of contractors on 25 December 2015 and 1 January 2016 the collection of orange and clear bags will not take place on the above mentioned dates.
