Situated on three acres on Durban's upmarket Berea, Sica's Guest House offers colonial charm, warm hospitality, comfort and convenience to their guests.

Sica's Guest House is a family business, run by Jan, Sica, Janus and Kelly Horn.  Originally the Sica Horn Tennis Training Academy, the property was converted into a guest house in the mid-1990s, opening its doors for accommodation in time for the 1995 Rugby World Cup 1995.

Sica's Guest House offers everything you'd expect from a luxury hotel, including a gourmet restaurant with a resident chef, room service, a bar, gym and a swimming pool. It even offers secretarial services.

Conferences, weddings, functions, birthday parties, christenings and product launches are also regular features at Sica›s Guest House. Function facilities cater for up to 160 delegates and each venue is equipped with all the latest paraphernalia. There is even a chapel on the property.

The Sica's functions planning team takes care of the finest details for each event, making Sica's one of Durban's most charming venues for your special event.

Sica's Loft

Having built up a solid portfolio of repeat clients and with healthy long-term occupancies, the Horn family embarked on an expansion campaign in 2009, purchasing a new property and launching Sica's Loft.  This character-filled building was built in 1860 and was carefully renovated over a period of two years.

Ideally located close to Sica's Guest House, Sica's Loft is also well positioned in close proximity to several major private hospitals namely Entabeni, St. Augustines and the Westridge Oncology Centre. It is an ideal homefrom-home for travelling medical and pharmaceutical professionals as well as family members of hospital patients. Sica's Loft is also smaller and quieter, with only eight bedrooms, and offers a bed and breakfast facility, though guests often choose to visit Sica's Guest House for dinner.

Sica's Musgrave B&B

In 2011, Sica's expanded again, this time purchasing an existing B&B, and converting it into Sica's Musgrave B&B.  This venue is very close to Musgrave Centre, and while every room has the same upmarket amenities as Sica''s Guest House and Sica›s Loft, it is priced to capitalise on the gap in the market for a slightly more affordable B&B.  Sica›s Musgrave B&B also offers eight bedrooms.

Community Projects

Sica's Guest House is involved with several community projects. The company helped to establish a community watch, and sponsor of prizes to various charities community sporting events. Recently, Sica's sponsored all the trophies and medals for the Cato Manor Sports Day.

The company has also been actively involved in the LED forum, the CPF and the Environmental Forum. It also provides learnerships on an annual basis.
