Increasing export opportunities into Australia

2011-10-14

Trade & Investment KwaZulu-Natal (TIKZN) will be part of a business delegation that will be led by the MEC for Economic Development and Tourism, Michael Mabuyakhulu. The delegation will participate in the Queensland Export Week from 17- 22 October 2011.

A number of KwaZulu-Natal based companies are interested in exploring the Queensland market in order to facilitate the entry of their products into the rest of Australia. Trade Queensland extended an invitation to KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) to participate in the event and will host a Doing Business With KwaZulu-Natal seminar where TIKZN will be given the opportunity to showcase the provincial investment opportunities; and the MEC delivering a key note address.

TIKZN has recruited companies in the mining, renewable energy, logistics and tourism sectors. These companies will have the opportunity to promote their exports, expand operations in the region and encourage joint venture possibilities.

TIKZN will also increase awareness on South Africa in general, and KZN in particular, within the Queensland State through linkages between the respective governments and business leaders.

For further information about TIKZN and its involvement with the Australian Mission, please contact Mr Claude Jerome Pretorius, Destination Marketing Manager, Trade & Investment KwaZulu-Natal on (031) 368 9600 or email claude@tikzn.co.za .
