Spring Lights Gas gift Avoca Secondary School a new science lab

“Creating a positive change in our communities” 

This year’s Mandela Day 67 minutes of community work saw Spring Lights Gas (SLG) leading the charge for companies to inspire others and be inspired to assist the less fortunate. 

In a show of solidarity towards NCP Alcohols (NCPA) as a customer, a generous SLG donation enabled the company to revamp the science laboratory at Avoca Secondary School and thus launch the 1st flagship project of its kind between the two companies. The laboratory is now kitted to the max with the students and educators having access to state of the art equipment supplied by Lasec Education 

SLG’s commitment to education, especially in the field of science and maths, is well-recognized. The company has already donated science lab equipment to more than 20 schools in KwaZulu-Natal. 

Mthoko Mbatha, Group CEO says, the company is proud to be involved with community projects through partnerships with like-minded companies, such as NCP.  As a people’s centric company, SLG believes in growing with communities within it operates.

In cementing it relationships with its customers, SLG has decided that by standing together with its customers, who understand their communities’ needs, we are able to fulfil some of the needs more adequately.”
