Business Womens Association - Winning In The Workplace 2015

2015-06-02

Since 2001 the Durban branch of the Businesswomen's Association has presented a workshop in August (Women's Month) for approximately 450 - 500 female grade 12 learners from various schools. The workshop provides the "businesswomen of tomorrow" with the necessary skills to make a success of their future entrance into the business world. This project is the largest corporate citizenship project of the BWA in Durban and is sponsored in its entirety.

As the event is fully sponsored, sponsorship is required for all aspects including the venue, food, transportation, books, memory bags, essay prizes and spot prizes. All of the sponsored items may have corporate insignia, thus ensuring that the sponsoring company receives recognition.  On the day acknowledgement is given to all the companies donating items, as well as in any press releases and on the BWA website. We offer the opportunity for organisations to set up small displays, where they can market their various products, services or organisation to the girls during the course of the day. Companies can also pay for services directly, benefiting from tax and other incentives.

The BWA in Durban has relied on the generosity of sponsors in the past to ensure that this event is a success and to ensure the success of this year's WIWP 2015 project the BWA counts on your support.

Below are the preferred sponsorship options:
  • Cash donations (any amount as this will go towards purchasing items for the goodie bags that each girl will receive or towards prizes.)
  • Items for goodie bags (500 items), possibly stationery, books, consumables, cosmetics, clothing items or accessories.
  • Hampers to be given as prizes on the day.
  • Sponsorship for breakfast and lunch for 550 people.
  • Any other donation at your discretion.
  • Individuals to volunteer their time on the day to among other things, assist with marking of essays, coordinating the day, assisting with registration of learners on arrival.
What sponsors can expect:
  • A brochure of the day's events is prepared and the logos of key sponsors are included in the brochure.
  • Sponsor's banners may be displayed on the day. Organisation brochures may also be placed in the goodie bags to be provided to the girls.
  • The key sponsors are mentioned in the vote of thanks as well as in the report back brochure prepared.
  • As a registered NPO you will receive a letter from the BWA confirming the sponsorship including value for EDI points.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any further comments or queries.
