KZN Business Sense-Smart Business Sense:Akash Singh, the KwaZulu-Natal Business Chambers Council

2016-01-14

Developing smart business sense is about building an understanding of the ever changing business climate. This quality is developed on the job, through time.  Smart business sense often grows through hands-on experience and trial and error in the business world. However, it can also be fostered through education, research and mentoring. Whether you are part of a large organisation or a selfemployed businessman, having
sound business sense is essential to an effective and financially viable operation.

Consequently, the KwaZulu-Natal Business Chambers Council is proud to launch its new tabloid Business Sense. The tabloid aims to provide a wholehearted and insightful understanding of trends in government policy,
business and labour law, economics, communication, customer relations strategies and management approaches amongst other issues that impact on the business environment.

The KwaZulu-Natal Business Chambers Council (KBCC) is the representative voice of organised business in
KwaZulu-Natal. Membership is open to all formal business representative organisations in the province with the
major chambers and business organisations in KwaZulu-Natal already members. These include Durban Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Minara Chamber of Commerce, Pietermaritzburg Chamber of Business, iLembe Chamber of Commerce, KwaZulu-Natal Growth Coalition, Zululand Chamber of Commerce, Ladysmith Chamber of Commerce, KwaZulu-Natal Youth Chamber, FABCOS and NAFCOC.

KBCC’s objective, as well as that of our members, is to build KwaZulu-Natal into a business powerhouse that is an attractive destination for investments.  The KBCC is a conduit for the flow of information on matters pertaining to business in the province, and represents member chambers, and lobbies on behalf of its constituents, to provincial government. The KBCC also provides input on economic growth and strategy to provincial government, especially through the KwaZulu-Natal Economic Council.

As such Business Sense is in line with the objectives of the KBCC and its member organisations.  We consider the publication to be an outstanding means of providing current business information to the business sector in KwaZulu-Natal.
