Minara Chamber of Commerce hosted a successful and well attended Business Breakfast with well known Professor Patrick Bond.

Bond is a political economist with longstanding research interests and NGO work in urban communities and with global justice movements in several countries. He teaches political economy and ecosocial policy, directs the Centre for Civil Society and is involved in research on economic justice, geopolitics, climate, energy and water. Bond raised some controversial and interesting trends in our economy.

He provided a glimpse of the challenges that we face as an economy, as business and as a country. The debate and discussion post the presentation was stimulating and opened the differing views between government, business and civil society, joining the panel discussion was Imraan Noorbhai Provincial Head for Standard Bank KZN.  Minara Chamber wishes to thank Professor Patrick Bond and Standard Bank for supporting the event.
