This year marks the 21st anniversary of the annual African Renaissance Festival, a milestone of which the organisers are extremely proud.

This initiative has grown in stature, attracting the attention of the media and participation of delegates from around the globe.

Traditionally the annual festival is held in May to coincide with Africa Day, however, this year the festival programme was spread over two periods, a decision taken by the organisers and provincial leadership as a result of the recent National and Provincial elections held in May.

The first part of the festival was the Africa Day Concert which was staged on 25 May 2019, and the second part which comprised the two-day conference commenced on 15 August and culminated in a celebratory banquet on 16 August 2019.

The guest speaker at this year's banquet was Colin Coleman, CEO of Goldman Sachs, who has travelled abroad extensively to present South Africa and its investment potential and all that there is still to be positive about economically.
