The Cadence rides are expanding to offer you more options, including making you safer on the bike. Friday skills rides are FREE other than the R30 park fee for Mazarat that can be paid Zapper or cash directly to Burry Stander Concept Cyling shop in Waterfall:

If you want to up your bike safety, please let me know by return:

If skills seem daunting, PLEASE come see me for a plan of action on how to learn fundamentals in the safety of your garden so you can join these fun rides with more confidence. Come on, get safer and faster overnight!

Saturday Valley Rides
This Saturday, weather permitting, 6:00am start from Lillies Centre for a 43km loopon the very social and 53km on the social with just short of 1500m climbing. Rides are not limited to Cadence customers, they are open - so feel free to SHARE this mail with your friends. If you want to ride, please click the link to drop me a confirmation mail:
The social 53km with Brenda as guide - Saturday 11th Nov.
The very social 43km with Bronwyn as guide - Saturday 11th Nov.
The rides are social, non-technical and are not (that) fast, but the Inanda Valley is an imposing place to ride because of the climbs. We just need to be sure you can ride up a hill and won't be walking. Please contact Mark on the above links if you have questions about the rides.

Final announcement to join ride to help save our Rhino
The 340km uBhejaneX ride from Hillcrest to Hluhluwe is FULL, logistically we can't take more. The 250km, 100km and 35km still have capacity and we would love to get more people riding for such a important and rewarding cause - saving our Rhino. We've gone to TOWN on the goodie bag to get the word and support out there, so expect to be blown away if you are riding!

This unique ride is self funded by each rider and every donation is paid direct to Project Rhino - so nobody can ask for sponsorship for their ride. Last year, the donation purse was R254,000 which was a decent sum but poaching has reached a 100 year and high so work on the ground continues to need support.

We have managed to get Phil Liggett, Jeremy Thomson and Sibusiso Vilane to join us once again. Stacey Holland (TV presenter) is riding the 100km, Martin and Jeannie Dreyer are joining in the 340km ride. Land Rover Durban have committed 6 support vehicles this year to help with logistics and feeding the cyclists.

Are you up for the challenge?
This is a fund raiser and we need everyone to commit to a R5000 fund raise target. If you would like to participate in something special and do your part to help save Rhino, please e-mail Mark on info@cadencecycling.co.za

We have to limit numbers this year with the challenge of supporting riders effectively - so book your spot early.

If it's new or newsworthy, you will see it here first. Training and nutrition tips, community work, new research you can use to improve your cycling, interesting news on achievements in cycling...
