In keeping with its mandate, Trade & Investment KZN (TIKZN) scheduled a comprehensive programme for the Brazil Ministry of Sport delegation visiting the province on 23 June 2011.
The visit to Durban, KwaZulu-Natal was two-fold:
1) It was a Fact mission to ascertain what was achieved during the Soccer World Cup 2010 in South Africa, in KwaZulu Natal in particular. This included lessons learned and the legacy that resulted from this.
2) It was also a business venture in which the delegation had the opportunity to meet companies in various sectors and promote business opportunities and partnerships.
The delegates were also taken on a tour of various sites in KZN to showcase the level of development taking place in the province.
