The Chamber’s Senior Trade Assistant, Busi Mkhabele, represented a number of the JCCI Export Incubator participants at MATEX Ethiopia 2018 held on 21-26 June 2018 in Addis Ababa. MATEX is an annual international manufacturing and technology trade fair for leading manufacturers, technology producers and suppliers from around the world.

The sectors represented included:

• Food manufacturers (meat, wheat, vegetables, fruit, dairy), bakeries, grain and oil mills and soft drinks bottling.
• Textiles and garments: Garment manufacturing, weaving and knitting, dyeing and finishing, supply of fabrics and accessories
• Cotton farming and cotton ginning, spinning
• Pharmaceuticals and healthcare products
• Machinery spare parts and maintenance
• Construction, transportation and communication
• Water and energy machinery
• Physical infrastructure techniques and equipment
• Building materials and technologies

Visitors who attend MATEX include professionals, key decision makers, buyers, suppliers, traders and distributors.
