Tafta residents express gratitude this Mandela Day

2017-07-19

The Association of the Aged (Tafta) extends sincere gratitude to the numerous corporates who came together to make a significant difference to our elders this Mandela Day.

Tafta residents throughout Durban were treated to a wide variety of programs including scrumptious meals; pamper sessions and even a dolphin show which they described as “a magnificent experience”.

Tafta is overwhelmed by the outpouring of love, care and support shown to our residents this year. Over 20 companies chose to dedicate their 67 Mandela minutes of Service in commemoration of Tata Madiba’s ideals of service to humanity at Tafta facilities.

Our residents felt pampered and cared for thanks to the outpouring of generosity they experienced… Tafta thanks you!

In addition, pensioners were treated to a fun-filled day at uShaka Marine World, where they got to enjoy tea and snacks before being entertained by the dophin show and stroll around the aquarium.

They were delighted to have a personal encounter with uShaka’s popular dolphin Gambit and watched in awe as he responded to their waves and hand gestures.
