The next funding fair has arrived.

Please see the below correspondence about the Funding Fair in June.

If you are the recipient of this email and attachment, then you quite likely are aware of our various Funding Fairs that we co-organised with KZN Provincial Treasury in 2013.

In our first year, 2013, in excess of R500m was raised for existing businesses
and we wish to grow this going forward.

We are offering three separate pitching rooms going forward in 2014:

• Debt funding;
• Equity Funding;
• Grant funding.

There will be two funding fairs that we organise. The dates and locations for the two fairs are as follows:

a. June 11 and 12 - Pietermaritzburg;
b. October 15 and 16 - Newcastle.

The actual location of the funding fairs will be advised once they have been finalised.

These two Funding Fairs will be for businesses seeking R1m to R20m capital.

To ensure we invite the correct organisations and people to the correct pitching
room, can you please complete and return the attached spreadsheet to me on
rob@smorfitt.co.za.  If you have any queries you can email me or call me on my

Remember that as the pitches are done simultaneously in the different rooms, you will only be able to pitch for one type of finance.  We did some research with some of the funders and businesses pitching, and will be looking to implement their suggestions going forward. An example thereof was splitting into three rooms.
