Interpretation of the Monitor

The results suggest that the economic risk profile and economic conditions of the province during the 3rd quarter 2015 improved significantly, primarily because of the depreciation of the currency and the decrease in the oil price.

The 3rd quarter 2015 results suggest that economic risks were the lowest in Richards Bay and iLembe whereas the economic risks were the highest in Pietermaritzburg and Port Shepstone.
