Overview
The mission of the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Community Safety and Liaison is to be the lead agency in driving the integration of community safety initiatives, towards a crime-free KwaZulu-Natal.
The Department's strategic goals are to promote democratic accountability and transparency in the police service and direct the South African Police Service towards effectively addressing provincial needs and priorities; promote good relations and establish partnerships between the police and the communities; facilitate the development and coordination of social crime prevention initiatives; and promote and support victim empowerment.
