The iLembe Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with Edge Training, invites you to a full day workshop on Basic Supervisory Skills. The training will prepare, and in some instances remind, supervisors of the skills required to lead teams and accomplish tasks through others. The workshop uses, amongst others, activities to stimulate participation and enhance the learning experience.

Who should attend:  This one day workshop is aimed at new supervisor or managers, and also for those who need their supervisory skills refreshed.

Workshop outline and objectives:

• Understanding the role of supervisors
• Knowing your organisational structure and Identifying resources that exist
• Effective time management, and how you would utilise time to benefit you
• Equipping you with skills to better work plans and schedules
• Understanding the importance of goal setting
• The importance and tools to optimise employee contribution
• Communication skills
• Encouraging staff feedback
• Working out potential and anticipated problems
• Teamwork within the organisation.
