The session, on Friday, 1 February 2019, will be hosted by well-known Investment Manager, Devin Shutte, from The Robert Group. Devin will raise the lid on the most important business trends predicted for 2019 and how you and your business can respond to these challenges and opportunities. If you are in business, this is a topic not to be missed! 2019 will be a pivotal year for the sluggish South African economy, with South African businesses battling the effects of fuel, tax and interest rate increases. Whilst our economic recovery is considered to be heavily dependent on private investment and public private partnerships, the threat of a credit rating downgrade and pressure on emerging markets remain. The session will be facilitated by Devin, an expert in the financial markets. For the past 14 years Devin has been involved in the financial markets, among others by heading up a derivatives trading desk through the Global Financial Crisis, before running his own brokerage firm. Devin has lectured Investments and Finance at MBA level, and now manages The Robert Group's unit trust and share portfolios.
