NATIONAL AFRICAN FEDERATION CHAMBER OF COMMERCE (NAFCOC)
NAFCOC is a national chamber with regional branches. The aim of the organisation is to promote and facilitate the development of business in South Africa, thereby drawing the majority of South Africans into mainstream economic activity and the decision-making process.
NAFCOC aims to facilitate the growth of the economy by ensuring fast-tracked economic transformation and broad-based
black economic empowerment which is a cornerstone of NAFCOC policy and strategy. Such empowerment is facilitated by
NAFCOC's services to its members which include business support services, the dissemination of information and knowledge as well as networking.
NAFCOC's objectives include:
-
Leading the unification process between black and white business in South Africa
-
Representing the interests of small, micro and medium-sized enterprises (SMMEs) and black economic empowerment companies in policy formulation
-
Contributing to economic transformation by building SMME capacity through business support services, business development and by creating employment opportunities
-
Enabling meaningful business opportunities for members by facilitating joint ventures and preferential procurement partnerships with both private and public enterprises
The KwaZulu-Natal branch office is located in Durban and it is from here that the management of NAFCOC structures in all district municipalities in the province is driven. In addition an extension of services into all local municipalities is planned.
The province of KwaZulu-Natal has many opportunities, investors and entrepreneurs are urged not to overlook the smaller ones. Very often they are the beginning of great enterprises.
