Positioning the Region
The Zululand Chamber of Commerce & Industry is active in the King Cetshwayo, Umkhanyakude and Zululand Districts, representing business across key economic sectors identified in the Provincial Growth & Development Plan and others.
The Chamber, which was established in 1926, has a rich history of prioritising the needs of business and through strategic relationships with key stakeholders, facilitates and supports an environment conducive to developing and growing the economy. Subsequent job creation in the region remains a key objective.
Corporate support of the Chamber enables active engagement with SMMEs and the Chamber regularly facilitates sessions at which large business and parastatals share opportunities with SMMEs and advise on the procurement process.
The Zululand region has produced and continues to produce exceptional enterprises which overcome significant disadvantages. Leaders and innovators in their field, they have carved a niche and operate successfully in a highly competitive global environment. Their success creates a platform for decision makers to recognise the potential of the region as a major economic development hub in the Province.
The KZN Top Business event acknowledges businesses which function successfully, with integrity and in accordance with the principles of good governance. The Zululand Chamber of Commerce and Industry applaud the finalists who are an exemplary example to the business fraternity and wish them great success going forward.
